The new word creation “SMTconnect” stresses the unique feature of the exhibition specialized in electronic assemblies and systems: it creates connections on the marketplace. Proactively tackling promising topics, the SMTconnect aims is to attract new target groups and provide the community with even more opportunities for exchange, as well as possibilities of working together on the challenges faced by the industry. In line with this, the field of electronic manufacturing services will have a new stage on the special interest area EMS Park as from 2019.
The EMS Park, which features a close-to-nature, open design with many plants and benches reminiscent of a park, has been designed with a focus on relaxed, yet efficient networking opportunities. Exhibitors can participate with their own stand or stand package. The center of the action area will host an attractive Networking and Catering Area and adjacent to this, numerous seating and charging stations are available inviting guests to pause and chat. Confidential talks can be held in the private meeting spaces. In addition, there will be the small “Speaker´s Corner” providing exhibitors with the chance to present their topics and solutions to a qualified audience.
For experts in the field, which have been represented, albeit on a smaller scale, this means more presentation and networking opportunities and therefore more visibility on the market. The EMS Park makes it much easier for exhibiting companies to make contact with their target groups, for example for representatives in the areas of medical technology, automotive- or engineering industry. And all this in an inviting and familiar ambience. For those working in the EMS industry, a home from home is to be created in the world of exhibitions; this will enable them to network with their community more intensively and discuss relevant topics.
“We have never really felt at home at any trade fair up till now. The new concept for the SMTconnect, which delivers a good platform catering to our needs for discussion within the industry, seems to me the right approach“, confirmed Matthias Holsten, industry specialist and EMS consultant.
For the SMTconnect, this means the further development of the electronic manufacturing services area providing visitors with even more options for tailor-made solutions for their individual requirements. This is to result in more space for high-caliber business relationships within the community.
The SMTconnect will be taking place from 07. – 09.05.2019 in Nuremberg. Current information on the event can be found under smtconnect.com.
