The issue of sustainability is becoming increasingly important, which is why the requirements for modern protective coatings for electronic assemblies are becoming more demanding. This technical lecture shows special features of different protective coating systems and presents the requirements for assembly design. In this context, new technologies such as UV-LED's will be presented.
